Process Models, James Castle House

During Khara's 2020 Winter Short-Stay Residency at the James Castle House, she made a series of works that take inspiration from Castle’s figurative constructions and book works (Facsimiles of Castle's books are shown throughout the images.). In her works, she explores aspects of the document and data as human identity.

The body of work consists of 2D paper works, 3D small scale sculptures, site-specific installation, and "Biospecimen Remnants".

Process model 1 and 2 follow a storyline of inside and outside the body, naturalistic figures are faced with garments as documents. They are reduced to the residual artifacts and scraps then organized into drawers of cabinets made from waxed cardboard, or data-like elements preserved in glass or plastic.
